Lixing Lao, Ph.D., L.Ac.

Dr. Lau is a Professor and Director of the TCM Research Program at the University of Maryland Baltimore (UMB). He has served as a Board member of the Society for Acupuncture Research (SAR) and as an Advisory Board Member of the PDQ Cancer CAM Editorial Board, National Cancer Institute of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as well as a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal issued by the Society for Integrative Oncology. He is an expert in conducting translational research that bridges basic science, clinical trials and “real world” clinical practice. His research was cited in the report of the NIH Consensus Conference on Acupuncture.
